Effective Enterprise Technology
Stewardship Strategies in a Changing Economy
Executive Summary of CompuCom Services Roundtable, Phoenix
Arizona May 5-7, 2010
As IT executives look for ways to optimize their contribution to key
organizational objectives in an era of dynamic change and severe
resource constraints, the ability to understand the relative maturity
levels of key business processes, technologies and management
models will likely play an important factor in determining the success
or failure of their efforts.
This was one of the key conclusions reached by a group of IT
executives who convened in Phoenix Arizona on May 5-7 for an IT
services roundtable discussion. The event was sponsored by
CompuCom to explore key trends in the management of enterprise
technology resources as we enter the next decade of this still very
young millennium.
The gathering represented a range of industries – from energy,
supply chain management and food service, to travel, technology and
financial services.
While each of the participants brought with them industry specific
concerns and considerations about how technology management can
be most effectively aligned with business objectives, there were
important common themes that emerged.
