Worldwide Digital Transformation Spending Forecast to Continue Its Double-Digit Growth Trajectory, According to IDC Spending Guide

Organizations across the globe prioritize digital transformation (DX) to become digital businesses that can create value through the use of technology for processes, products, services, and experiences. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC) Worldwide Digital Transformation Spending Guide, global DX spending is forecast to reach nearly $3.9 trillion in 2027 with a five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.1%. The United States accounts for 35.8% of DX spending, followed by Asia/Pacific (33.5%) and EMEA (26.8%).

Worldwide UC&C Revenues Grew 6.9% in Q2 2023 — IDC

Worldwide revenues in the Unified Communications & Collaboration (UC&C) market grew 6.9% year over year and 2.4% sequentially to $15.9 billion in the second quarter of 2023 (2Q23), according to IDC. For 2023, worldwide UC&C revenue is forecast to grow 8.6% year over year to $64.7 billion. This represents an upward revision of roughly $500 million from the previous quarter's forecast. In volume terms, the worldwide UC&C market grew 11.4% year over year and 2.9% sequentially in 2Q23 to $620.7 million.

IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Ethernet Switch and Router Trackers Show Strong Market Growth Continuing in Second Quarter of 2023

The worldwide Ethernet switch market grew revenues 38.4% year-over-year in the second quarter of 2023 (2Q23) to $11.8 billion. The total worldwide enterprise and service provider router market recorded $4.6 billion in revenue in 2Q23, a 9.4% year-over-year increase. A major driver of growth in the market continues to be the easing of supply chain issues that began during the global pandemic. This trend is particularly relevant in the non-datacenter segment of the Ethernet switching market, where revenues grew 52.5% year over year in 2Q23, while port shipments rose 16.6%.
