Worldwide PC shipments totaled 77.5 million units in the first quarter of 2022, a 7.3% decrease from the first quarter of 2021, according to Gartner, Inc. A sharp drop in Chromebook sales significantly contributed to the overall market decline.

Sales of Mobile PCs into the U.S. K-12 market increased in the third quarter of 2018, with shipments growing 10 percent year-on-year, according to new research from Futuresource Consulting.  This follows growth of only 3 percent in Q2.
